This is the project website for Thingavore. Thingavore is 2D, side-scrolling problem solving game. You play the role of the adorable and quirky "Thingavore" who overcomes obstacles by, as its name implies, using and most especially eating different objects. You must navigate through each level which is filled with destructible terrain, water, hazards, doors, buttons, and many different items to help you along the way.

This game was the result of TAGD's annual BigGame where produce a full featured game to submit to the Student IGF competition. Around 20-30 students from Texas A&M worked on this game starting in the late spring where we brainstormed game ideas and decided on a design document. We kicked off development at the beginning of the summer by developing several prototypes for both the gameplay and the physical simulation. From there we worked hard, with the main development beginning during the fall semester. Our final product is the best game that TAGD has produced to date.

You can read more about the the game on the About page, view some screenshots of the game, and then download the game to play it. If you have any thoughts or comments you can go to the TAGD forum, we would greatly appreciate any feedback on the game.
